Vibz — Community Guidelines
Version: 1.0.0 Effective date: 2026-08-27 Last updated: 2026-09-03
Vibz exists so people can share short videos, message friends, and join communities they care about. These Community Guidelines explain what we do and don't allow. They apply to everything on Vibz: posts, comments, profiles, channels, direct messages, voice and video calls, stickers, and anything else you share.
If you see a violation, report it. Use the Report option on the post, comment, message, profile, or channel. On a post or channel it is the flag button. On a comment or message, press and hold. On a profile, open it and choose Report.
What's not allowed
1. Child safety
We have a zero-tolerance policy on the sexual exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors, including:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind.
- Sexualizing minors in posts, profiles, captions, comments, or messages.
- Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to develop predatory relationships.
- Sharing personal contact info, addresses, or schedules of minors.
We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.
2. Violence and physical harm
- No content that incites, threatens, glorifies, or coordinates real-world violence.
- No graphic or gratuitous depictions of injury, death, or animal abuse for shock value.
- No content that promotes, supports, or recruits for terrorist or violent extremist organizations.
3. Hate speech and harassment
- No content that attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or serious disease.
- No targeted harassment, bullying, or stalking. This includes pile-ons, doxxing, deepfakes used to humiliate, and unwanted sexual messages.
4. Sexual content and solicitation
- No pornography, explicit sexual activity, nudity intended for sexual gratification, escort solicitation, prostitution, sexual exploitation, trafficking, coercion, or offers or requests for sexual services.
- Do not use direct messages, channels, calls, or off-platform payment links to buy, sell, arrange, or request sexual services or adult content.
- Do not send unwanted sexual messages, images, videos, voice notes, stickers, calls, or requests.
- Some non-explicit suggestive content involving adults may be allowed, but it is not eligible for recommendation and we may restrict, remove, or limit its distribution. Users under 18 are not shown adult-oriented recommendations.
- Users under 18 may not post, request, buy, sell, or receive sexual or adult content.
5. Self-harm and suicide
- No content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.
- We allow recovery and discussion content. Crisis resources are always available under Profile → Help & Support → Crisis resources.
6. Illegal goods, drugs, and dangerous activity
- No buying, selling, gifting, or facilitating the trade of illegal or regulated goods (drugs, weapons, prescription medications, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, endangered species).
- No depiction or promotion of dangerous "challenges" likely to cause real-world injury.
7. Spam, fraud, and platform manipulation
- No spam, scams, phishing, MLM/pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, or financial fraud.
- No fake accounts, mass-produced content, engagement-pumping, follower buying/selling, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
- No bots or automated tools without our written permission.
8. Impersonation and deception
- Don't impersonate another person, brand, or Vibz staff.
- Don't use profile names or handles that confusingly suggest official affiliation.
- Misleading deepfakes or AI-generated content depicting real people without consent are prohibited.
9. Intellectual property
- Don't post content you don't have the right to post. If you see your copyrighted work used without permission, file a takedown notice via https://marketvibz.com/legal/dmca.
10. Privacy
- Don't share other people's private information (addresses, phone numbers, financial info, ID documents, intimate images) without consent.
- Don't post someone else's intimate images, including realistic synthetic or altered depictions. This content is prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement where appropriate.
11. Security and integrity
- Don't try to disrupt or break the Service: no hacking, no scraping, no rate-limit evasion, no probing for vulnerabilities (unless it's covered by an authorized security program), no malware.
- Don't sell or transfer your account.
How we enforce
Not every rule works the same way. Content that breaks the rules above is removed. Content that doesn't break a rule but is borderline, suggestive, or low-quality may stay on Vibz but be ineligible for recommendation — it won't be suggested in the public feed, search, or discovery, and it is never shown to users under 18 as a recommendation.
When you report content or we detect a violation, we may:
- Remove or hide the content.
- Apply a warning, restriction, or feature pause to the account.
- Suspend or permanently ban the account.
- Notify the platform, law enforcement, or NCMEC where required.
Severe violations (CSAM, real-world threats, account takeover attempts) result in immediate permanent ban.
We review reports promptly, prioritize reports involving child safety, and comply with applicable statutory deadlines. You can view the status of reports you file in My reports. Account holders may appeal an enforcement decision at appeals@marketvibz.com.
Special rules for some features
- Direct messages. DMs between consenting users are end-to-end encrypted; Vibz cannot read them. You can still report any DM you receive, and you should — but because that encryption is real, your report tells us who sent the message, which message it was, the reason you picked, and anything you write in the box; it does not send us the text of the message. That is enough to act on the sender: an account that sends violating DMs can be warned, restricted, suspended, or permanently banned like any other. If the reported message carried media and the report is confirmed as a child-safety case, we preserve that media and stop serving it — see our Child Safety Standards. What we cannot do is read the message, edit it, or take it off a device that already holds it, so keep a screenshot if you may need to show someone what was said.
- Groups. Private groups are end-to-end encrypted and are not discoverable in search, discovery, or recommendations. Public groups are discoverable and are not end-to-end encrypted because Vibz must be able to moderate, enforce these Guidelines, and support search and discovery. Minor or restricted accounts cannot join or access private groups; they may only access public groups that are available to them under our safety rules.
- Channels. Channel authors are responsible for content posted under their channels. Channels may not be used for adult content, sexual services, gambling, illegal goods, fraud, or off-platform payment schemes.
- Feeds and recommendations. Vibz may reduce distribution, add warnings, age-gate, or remove content that appears borderline, sensitive, spammy, deceptive, unsafe for teens, or likely to violate these Guidelines. Users under 18 get stricter defaults and may not receive adult-oriented recommendations.
- Teen social access controls. Where enabled, a linked adult can allow or withhold specific social capabilities after both accounts approve the link. The adult does not receive message, call, or activity-monitoring access. Attempting to pressure a minor to hide, unlink, or evade an agreed safety control is treated as a child-safety violation.
A note on context
These rules describe what we'll generally enforce. Context matters: educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic content that depicts an otherwise prohibited subject may be allowed when the intent is clearly to inform or critique, not to promote or sensationalize. We'll exercise judgment, and we won't always get it right — that's why appeals exist.
